East Halton Parish Council

East Halton Parish Council
The Parish Council is the first tier of local government for residents locally and is consulted on various issues by its Local Unitary Authority or County Council. These issues include matters such as planning applications and the wider local development plans, highways and traffic issues, policy and strategic planning matters and other matters affecting local residents.

East Halton Parish Council is made up of 8 Councillors who are unpaid. They meet monthly, on the first calendar Friday of each month, at East Halton Village Hall. The council employs a part-time Clerk for 10 hours a month who is also the Responsible Financial Officer. The Parish Council is responsible for certain areas of land within the village and also manages the local cemetery. The Village Hall is NOT managed by the Parish Council but by a local Management Trustee Committee.
